Bad Credit Auto Loan – Your Best Options?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Bill_Smiths]Bill Smiths A bad credit auto loan isn’t impossible to find– it just takes a little work! If your credit is a little dented and dinged, it doesn’t have to shut you out of an auto loan. There are those companies that will overlook bad credit. Auto loan options for you if you have less than perfect credit include on-lot dealer financing, getting a co-signer, attempting to repair your credit before you look for a bad credit auto loan and accepting less than ideal terms for a bad credit auto loan. Your best starting point – before you even start looking for a car – is to check your credit report yourself. A new law passed last year entitles you to get one free credit report from each of the major credit reporting agencies every 12 months. The law is being rolled out across the country in stages, but by the end of 2005, whatever state you live in, you’ll be entitled to check your own credit history free once a year to find out if you have bad credit. Auto loan and finance companies will use the information in your credit history to determine whether or not to grant you a loan and on what terms, so it makes sense to check first and avoid being surprised. If you find errors in your credit report, or if a credit reporting agency is mistakenly reporting that you have bad credit, put off applying for an auto loan until you have a chance to clear up the mistake. If, on the other hand, your credit report legitimately lists problems, you can start looking for a bad credit auto loan through one of several different sources. Because a bad credit auto loan carries more risk for the lender, it’s difficult to find one with “competitive” interest rates. The best way to get a good interest rate – and begin repairing your bad credit is with a cosigned auto loan. By co-signing an auto loan for you, your co-signer takes responsibility for paying back your loan if you fail to make the payments. The interest rate is likely to be much better than you can get with any other bad credit auto loan – very close to the terms your co-signer would be offered. Just be sure to ask the lender to report the payment history in BOTH your name and that of your co-signer so that you can begin repairing or building your credit history. If a co-signer isn’t possible, or you prefer a loan in your own name, try to secure a bad credit auto loan on your own before going to the dealer. Your usual bank is your logical first choice. Make an appointment to speak with a loan officer at the bank where you usually do business, as they have an interest in continuing and extending their relationship with you. One possible option through a credit union, for instance, is to make arrangements for a bad credit auto loan that’s tied to one of your other accounts as security. The car dealer should be your last option for securing a bad credit auto loan. They have a vested interest in getting you into a car – but be aware that you’ll pay premium prices for financing a bad credit auto loan through a dealership. If it’s your only option, however, you may find that you can convert your high interest auto loan in the future if you’re able to repair and improve your credit score. @Copyrights 2005 – Bill A Smith works as a credit counselor for Ameri credit counseling firm. Beauty – Is It Really Only Skin Deep?

By Willie Jones We are in the age of cosmetology, plastic surgery, implants and a constant barrage from TV and magazines that want to sell us beauty and weight loss products. It is an enormously profitable industry that keeps us spellbound for the next new thing that will take away our wrinkles or firm our skin or help us lose weight. Unfortunately society all over the world from the deepest, most remote areas of the planet to modern society will judge you by how you look. It is true! We all do it, some more than others. When you are walking through a mall or standing in line somewhere you are assessing people around you. When we are looking for a job we dress to impress. When we go out for an evening we dress to impress. Women usually pay more attention to detail then men. But there is more to beauty then cosmetics and clothes. If you are very healthy looking then you are more likely to give a good impression. If you are a good listener, helpful or witty and cheerful, people are more likely to want to be around you. Cosmetics and clothing can definitely help but I suggest starting from the inside out. 1) Get plenty of sleep. This is a must. You cannot function properly when you are tired and it will show on your face. If you have a problem with getting enough sleep then you need to investigate the cause and handle it accordingly. 2) Drink plenty of water. Most people are semi dehydrated and dont get enough water daily. 3) Eat healthy food. Give up the junk and sugar foods. Your metabolism will be working better if you eat regular healthy meals. 4) You may want to consider taking supplements to get the vitamins and minerals your body needs. 5) Exercise. Our bodies need to move. We have become somewhat of a couch potato society. Have you noticed that when you are lazy you are less likely to want to get up and do anything? Exercising 30 minutes three times a week should help you lose weight and keep healthy. 6) Manicures and pedicures and keeping your body clean will keep you healthy and will be appreciated by others. 7) Keep up with the times on fashion. You dont want the outdated look. 8) Dress for your age. At 12 you dont need to look 20, or if your 50, you dont need to look 18. Be well dressed for your age. 9) If you need help with hair and makeup, find an expert to help you with that. 10) And finally, smile. No one really cares to be near Mr. or Mrs. Grumpy. Some people naturally do all or most of these things, but if you arent one of them then look at what would motivate you to do this. Do you have a spouse you want to look good for? Are you single and want to attract someone? Do you have children or grandchildren you want to be healthier and be a good role model for? There is an awesome motivational poster that inspired me to write about this subject. Get healthy, and be happy. Willie Jones Willie is a freelance writer, researcher, floral designer, and artist. The Biggest Secret In Internet Marketing

By A Nghiem In the Internet marketing world, there are many misconceptions and outright lies. But the biggest secret is one that is so obvious that nobody wants to talk about or is even aware of. In this article, I share what I (and many world class marketers) consider to be the biggest secret in Internet marketing. At this point, youre probably wondering? Whats the BIGGEST secret? Before I share this secret with you, let me share a common mistake committed by 99% of Internet marketers. Almost all Internet marketers I know can quote you their opt-in rate and spend hours, days, weeks and even months tweaking their landing pages to get the highest opt-in rate. This is accomplished by asking for as little customer information as possible and casting as wide a net as possible. This usually requires asking for only the first name and the primary email address. In many industries, this results in optimizing for the wrong results. What do I mean by that? I spend a lot of time in multiple industries other than Internet marketing (including real estate, art, etc.) and for a long time, I was focusing on increasing my opt-in rate but rarely closed any sales (my sales for my products and my clients products range from $997 to $25,000 per sale). When I thought about it, I realized that in all of these industries and especially at these price points, the sale is accomplished via the phone, not via the Web. Thus, without realizing it, I wasnt collecting all the necessary information for me to complete a sale (that is, I wasnt asking for a phone number because I knew this would reduce my opt-in rate). Most of the gurus who are teaching list building dont take into account industries that conduct business primarily offline and/or the fact that high-end products are not closed via email alone. Heck, I am not sure that any of them has ever tested their methods in offline businesses! Now, I do a 2-step opt-in rate that allows me to have the highest opt-in rate on the first page and then ask for additional info (including the phone number and mailing address) on the thank you screen. This enables me to follow up via offline methods including postcards, direct mail and even telemarketing. What does this have to do with the biggest secret in Internet marketing? Simplethe most valuable leads often require you to follow up using offline methods. However, this contradicts almost all list building techniques being taught, which almost always teach how to get the highest opt-in rate. In this case, I made more money by having a lower opt-in ratebut I got higher quality leads, which enable me to follow up via offline methods. Again, in many, many industries, the sales happen via the phone and in some cases via the fax and direct mail. So, before you spend too much time focusing on optimizing your opt-in rate alone, think through the sales process and figure out what is the best way to close the sale and collect information for that to happen, even if it means a lower opt-in rate. Now that you know the biggest secret in Internet marketing and the next time somebody brags about their 50% opt-in rate, you will know that he/she is probably optimizing on the wrong thing and leaving WAY too much money on the table. Disability Hearings

By Timothy Moore Disability hearings are fairly informal events. Usually, such hearings are conducted at hearing offices (not a courtroom) where the only people present include the Judge (an ALJ, or administrative law judge), the claimant, the claimant’s representative—if they have chosen to retain one—and medical experts chosen by the Judge. AlJ hearings, as they are commonly known, usually last no more than an hour and sometimes only take 15 minutes. From any standpoint, this is not an extraordinary amount of time. Nevertheless, the time in which it takes to hold a hearing is of paramount importance to the person trying to win their disability benefits. As very many claimants for disability benefits discover, winning a claim can make the difference between having a stable monthly income or living a life of uncertainty as to what will happen next. It can even make the difference between having a home and being homeless. It is not at all uncommon to find, when a case has dragged on for too long, that a claimant is being threatened with eviction from their home or foreclosure on their property. The disability hearing before a judge is typically the single most important event that will occur in the disability process. It is a one hour event that will make or break a case. And for this reason, it should be prepared for properly. Unfortunately, 99% of all claimants will not have the skills or knowledge necessary to properly prepare—AND WIN—a case. Therefore, even though it may not be absolutely necessary to have a representative before the hearing level (for example, at the initial claim and reconsideration levels) it is vital to have representation at the time of the hearing. Here are some things to keep in mind if it looks as though you will have to go to a hearing: 1. go to the hearing. Believe it or not, some people don’t attend their own hearings. Obviously, this is a huge mistake and you should not expect a judge to give you full consideration if you don’t show up at your own hearing. 2. Don’t be late for your ssd or ssi hearing. This is something that most judges have little tolerance for. And the same reasoning applies: if you can’t be on time for your own disability hearing, the judge can only conclude that it is not that important to you. 3. Be prepared. That is, be sure either you or your disability advocate has gotten and submitted to the judge copies of all your recent medical records. In most cases, you can’t win disability benefits without all the records, especially the most recent records being submitted. Follow these tips and you can maximize your chance of being successful on a disability benefits claims. The author of this article is Timothy Moore, who, in addition to being a former food stamp caseworker, medicaid caseworker and AFDC caseworker, is a former disability claims examiner. He publishes a helpful FAQ on the disability process at http://www.disabilitysecrets.com/questions.html Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Timothy_Moore http://EzineArticles.com/?Disability-Hearings&id=90884 i need a personal loan but i have bad credit cash loan lenders cash advance unsecured high limit credit card bad no fax cash advances

Affordable Italy Cell Phone Rentals

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Dulaney]John Dulaney The ancient and noble city of Cortona in Italy is situated 50 miles from Florence, between Arezzo and Perugia. As you approach the city of Cortona, there lies a vast and beautiful plain, flanked by the wonderful sights of distant hills and valleys, with towering yet fruitful mountains. That is what Italy is, a country full of romance and beauty. It is a visit of a life time and no other country in Europe is as exciting as Italy. While it is expensive to be in touch with your associates, friends and family back home using your hotel telephone, it is a fact that some of the Villas and apartments do not have a phone and in both the cases a cell phone becomes absolutely necessary. If you are planning to take your US cell phone and carrying your number to Italy and be on roaming through your home service provider, think twice before you do that. You may end up with outrageous bill at the end of the month. Roaming is expensive. There is indeed a way out to avoid the expenses. There are several ways to have the convenience of a cell phone in Italy and most of these are quite expensive. Italy cell phones rentals from www.italysimcards.com is not only affordable but it provide you with the advantage of the cheapest of all rates available, and make your money take you further in your trip to Italy. The rates offered by www.italysimcards.com are just fractions of what it would cost you to rent Italy cell phone through conventional sources or roam with your own US cell phone through your home service provider. Further, when you purchase a pre-paid Italy SIM card, this SIM card alone could save you up to 80% of your call expenses. You get a local number with a pre-paid Italy SIM card and all your outgoing calls are charged at local rates. All your incoming calls are FREE of any charges, no matter where they generate from. You do not need to pay for roaming or any other charges. You do not pay any of those monthly bills and you do not need to enter into any contract. Your pre-paid Italy SIM card is a module which renders your cell phone intelligent. It is this SIM card that lets you call your associates, friends and your family back home and makes you available to the people who want to get in touch with you. A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card is a printed circuit board which goes into a slot at the back of your Italy cell phone. Your pre-paid Italy SIM card is of a size a little smaller than a postage stamp and has a microprocessor and memory circuitry built-in. It stores all your unique information, such as, your phone number, your service plan, the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of your cell phone SIM card, etc. On switching on your phone, your pre-paid Italy SIM card sends the IMSI to the local network. This IMSI identification is then verified by the network database and a series of verification process takes place by transmitting identification codes to your Italy cell phone and receiving back information from your pre-paid Italy SIM card. When this verification is complete, your Italy cell phone is then connected with the network and you are now ready to make and receive calls. This process is so fast that it is absolutely transparent to you. Your pre-paid Italy SIM card also holds your address book, where you can store the names and the numbers of the people you frequently call. It also logs the numbers of your incoming and outgoing calls and also those calls which you have failed to respond. These numbers are logged by its relevant date and time. Roaming is a facility provided by your home service provider, where you can carry your phone and your US number through your home service provider. This becomes expensive since you pay for your outgoing and incoming calls at roaming rates. With a rented Italy cell phone you do not need to be on roaming when you have a pre-paid Italy SIM card. The set up is locally configured where you pay for your calls as the locals do. Since you pre-pay for your calls, you do not need to pay anything else over and above that. Italy cell phone rentals are all compatible with the network frequencies as operated in Italy and you need not worry about the frequency incompatibility. When you leave your geographical area with your phone, you are considered to be roaming in the area that you are visiting. You are then said to be visiting a different network. In order to provide you with the roaming facility, your home service provider has entered into a business agreement with the network you are visiting. Under the circumstances, your home service provider needs to pay for each call that your make or receive through the network that you are visiting. When you roam in Italy with your US cell phone, you are said to be on International Roaming. This is the reason why you receive an outrageous bill at the end of the month when you have taken your US phone on roaming. Italy cell phone rentals from www.italysimcards.com are affordable and cheaper for the low rates that you pay for renting such a cell phone.. Italy is a GSM country, which means that networks in Italy operate on GSM technology. Even if you have a US GSM cell phone, it is unlikely that it would work in Italy, unless you have a quad or tri-band cell phone. You will need a cell phone which responds to GSM 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands, which are the ones operated by the Italian network. Networks in North America, Canada and few other neighbouring countries work on different bandwidths, which are 850 MHz and 1900 MHz. Italy cell phone rental provides you with full compliance of the required frequency response in Italy, being compatible with the GSM frequency bands operated by the networks in Italy When you visit Italy, you will notice that the country has something for everyone, from the busy cities, showcasing the great cultural heritage of the Italians, exhibiting the latest world fashion, to those quaint little peaceful villages in surroundings that brings in tranquility and a sense of calmness. It is the home of pasta, pizza, gelati and vino, where you can enjoy every situation in one of the most romantic country in the world. Walking through the cobblestone backstreets of Rome, you will discover little late night bars, adorned with mix of paintings, antique statues, grandma lamps and mosaics. You will find this to be an apt place where you can rest your feet and sip on a glass of the finest Italian wine and perhaps pick up your cell phone to talk to your family back home. You are not worried about the expenses since, before you left for Italy, you had rented Italy cell phone and purchased a pre-paid Italy cell phone, a package, providing you with double benefit of cost saving. Italy cell phone rentals cost you a fraction of the rates charged by any other. A compatible GSM phone with a pre-paid Italy SIM card provide you with unbelievable savings, including the fact that your pre-paid Italy SIM card could save you up to 80% on your calls that you make, with all your incoming calls coming FREE to you. When you purchase a pre-paid Italy SIM card from www.italysimcards.com you get an initial talk time credit along with it. This allows you to use your cell phone right away when you reach Italy. As the credit depletes, you can buy recharge vouchers from any convenience stores in Italy and top up your talk time credit. These recharge vouchers are available in different denominations and you can choose the value of credit that you would want. Since you pre-pay for your calls, you are in full control of your expenses and can remain within the budget that you have set for the purpose. Your Italy cell phone rental from www.italysimcards.com comes fully charged when delivered to you. You also receive a battery charger which is compliant with the supply voltage in Italy. Rented Italy cell phones are GSM compatible and responds to the network frequencies as operated in Italy. The use of cell phones in Italy has surpassed the total number of landline installations in the country, with the result, that Italy has one of the best mobile coverage in the world. With your rented Italy cell phone, it is highly unlikely that you would experience any ‘dropped call’ or problems in connectivity. Its not only affordability, Italy cell phone rentals from www.italysimcards.com are available at very low rates, and is the only way out from having the luxury to carry your US cell phone to Italy on roaming. By law, you need to be an Italian citizen to buy or rent any cell phone in that country and therefore Italy cell phone rental from www.italysimcards.com provides you with a better economical solution. All pre-paid Italy SIM cards are GSM compatible, which would mean that you would need a GSM handset to make and receive calls with such a SIM card. Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) is the second generation (2G) first digital technology system, which replaces the first generation (1G) analog system. GSM is used in over 214 countries and has more than 80% of subscribers out of the total cell phone users in the world. The introduction of GSM technology has created a standard, which embraces all areas of technology, resulting in world-wide seamless wireless connectivity to and from about anywhere in the planet. If you are not taking your US cell phone on roaming to Italy, the cell phone that you will be taking with you must be SIM unlocked for you to operate that cell phone with a pre-paid Italy SIM card. All Italy cell phone rentals from www.italysimcards.com are SIM unlocked handsets, providing you with worry-free communication when you are in Italy. Cell phones are generally SIM locked by service providers, where a contract that you have signed stipulates that you should be using the services of that particular provider for a certain period of time. In this case the phone is made available to you free of cost and it is SIM locked and only operates with the SIM card that you receive from your service provider. In this way the service provider ensures that you will not be using any other SIM card. After the contract period is over, the service provider assists you in unlocking your phone. It is only then you may choose any SIM card that you like for your cell phone. In order to make your travelling from one country to the other easier, cell phones are available in multi-frequency GSM bandwidths. A quad band phone responds to all the existing GSM frequencies – 850 MHz, 900 MHz, and 1800 MHz and 1900 MHz. The tri-band phone is compatible with 800MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz GSM frequency bands. The dual band handset operates on just two frequency bands – 800MHz and 1900MHz bandwidths. All Italy cell phone rentals comply with the network frequencies of Italy. As most countries in the world, Italy has opted for GSM technology in the mobile telephony operation. GSM provides crystal clear connectivity, so much so that at times, it becomes difficult to sense if you are on a cell phone or using a landline. Whether you are in one of those quaint little remote villages, in the midst of the populated cities or relaxing in one of the beaches, GSM Italy cell phone rentals provide you with a clear digital reception. In fact 99.8% of the people in Italy use cell phones, which is more than the number of landlines installed in the country. It is difficult to judge what could cause the most breathtaking experience that you will have when you visit Rome. It could be, the great Coliseum, an arena where display of strength linked this Eternal City to the might of the once Roman Empire, the top speed of Fiat cars while you are trying to cross major intersections or the bill that you have to pay for your coffee. The Coliseum is an amphitheatre and was taken up for construction at the time Emperor Vespasian and completed by his sons, Titus and Domitian, between AD 72 and AD 90. The Coliseum was built at the Domus Aurea, an area where Nero’s enormous palace existed. This large amphitheatre was built to a capacity of 50,000 spectators, witnessing gladiatorial combats. Standing in the middle of this amphitheatre and looking all around you, you would perhaps hear the cheer of that 50,000 people, as the gladiators fought to death. It is indeed breathtaking. Italy is full of romance. Everywhere you visit, you are charmed by the invisible presence of the feeling of you having a great time and enchanting moments of your visit. The narrow winding streets, provides that sense of nostalgia of by gone days, as you pass the wonderful ancient historical buildings. It is a life time of an experience. Cell phone use overseas. In 99% of the world the local cellular service standard is called GSM. We use this in the states as well. When combined with a SIM CARD (which usually goes under the battery of the phone) the phone is able to communicate and the SIM CARD also holds the telephone number and memory for pre-paid credit. Rates can be extremely low using this system. For example in 99% of all SIM CARDS incoming calls are free and calls to the states can cost a trifle. Such as, from the UK to the USA 7 cents/minute, from Israel 22 cents, from Australia 27 cents. Yes, USA Dollar cents! There are today even prepaid service providers in the USA offering rates of 10 cents per minute to call anywhere in the US to any type of phone. No contracts, no credit card checks, no bills. Pre-paid always means no minimums no contracts, no obligations. You only pay for the calls made. You’ll need an unlocked GSM tri-band or quadband UNLOCKED phone. Introduction to Earning an Online Nursing Degree

By Amanda Jones Earning your nursing degree online can help you reach your career goals and enter a rapidly growing industry. Jobs in health care are expected to continue to be in demand, and nursing careers offer a wide range of possibilities. Additionally, online nursing programs also offer a wide range of opportunities. This introduction to earning an online nursing degree will help you get started. Set Your Goals What kind of nursing degree are you interested in obtaining? There are a number of choices. Bachelors and masters programs are abundant online. If you know that you wish to become a Registered Nurse, you may want to consider an undergraduate degree. Many quality schools offer programs for all levels of nursing degrees. About Online Learning No introduction to earning an online nursing degree would be complete without some information about online learning! This format works great for many people, but it is very different from learning in a traditional classroom setting. While most schools offer a variety of support tools, learning online takes a great deal of commitment on your part. While many programs offer options for interacting, learning online may feel “lonely,” and you need to motivate yourself and stick to deadlines. Many classes are asynchronous, meaning that you read materials and submit assignments on your own time (although assignments usually have due dates). If you are not comfortable with this, online learning may be difficult. Further, learning schedules are just as demanding as in a traditional classroom format. Benefits of Online Learning An introduction to earning an online nursing degree must also include some information about the many benefits of learning online. For those with busy schedules, online learning allows you to learn from home on your own time. It also allows you to attend a school that you might not be able to otherwise, such as if you live across the country or in a rural area. Because there are so many online nursing programs from which to choose, you can find a program to meet your needs. To learn more about earning an online nursing degree, Amanda Jones recommends Nursing Degree Guide. What You Need To Know When Planting A Tree

By Bill Prudehome Every year more than one million trees are planted on public and private properties throughout North America, these are not the trees are not planted as a part of a reforestation project, they are the trees that we use for personal and community ambience. Of these trees, less than 50 percent will survive more than two years. Shock From Transplanting: The greatest transplanting shock comes from the loss of the trees root system that occurs when the tree is dug up at the tree farm. Placing the tree in shock makes it much more vulnerable to disease, insects, drought and other potential life threatening situations. The transplant shock lasts until the root system is fully replaced to the level it was prior to being removed from the tree farm. Most trees that die after being transplanted do so during the period of time prior to restoration of the full root system. Although there is no method of transplanting that will guaranty that a tree will not die, regular care and good gardening practices, for a three-year period following the transplant, will definitely improve the trees likely hood of survival. Transplanting and Tree Roots: A healthy trees root system grows horizontally, even the main structural roots grow horizontally from the base of the trunk rather than vertically. Ask anyone who has tried to plant flowers near the base of a tree. The root system will generally extend to an area well beyond that of the visible branch coverage. The thicker roots which are located close to the tree trunk do not absorb water and nutrients, those roots are the fine roots and they are usually located within a four to ten inch depth below surface grade. For proper tree growth there must be a balance between the foliage of the tree and the root system. In most cases when a tree is removed from its original location more than 95 percent of the root system is left in the ground. That leaves only five percent of the system to supply 100 percent of the required water and nutrients to the tree. Hence, the trees root system cannot supply water at the rate that the crown is capable of dissipating it. Without the required water, the tree cannot produce an adequate supply of carbohydrates, and it makes the tree susceptible to disease, resulting in the death of the tree. Regeneration of Root Systems For Transplanted Trees: Regeneration of the root system is the primary key to ensure that the tree does not die due to the transplanting. It is critical that the visible part of the tree remains healthy during the period of time that it is regenerating its root system. Initially the root system will receive the necessary carbohydrates to induce growth from those stored in the trunk and branches of the tree. In order to ensure that the tree remains healthy after transplanting it is of critical importance that the tree continues to produce adequate levels of carbohydrates throughout the growing season, and even more important during the first year after the transplanting has occurred. Some people believe that the best way to ensure a healthy tree after transplanting is to prune the tree so that the root system does not have to provide as much water and nutrients. This is an incorrect procedure! If you leave the tree as delivered it will aid in supporting the growth of the root system. The only pruning that should take place is cutting away any damaged or broken tree branches or limbs. To assist the root system you must continue to supply water as ambient water will be insufficient to promote a healthy root system. There is no defined time frame for the root system to re-establish itself as it dependent on the size of the root ball, soil conditions, and climate. Bigger trees loose more root system when originally removed than smaller trees. Hence, it will take longer for a big tree to create its root system than a smaller tree, providing all other factors remain constant. Tests have indicated that for a tree with a one inch diameter trunk it may take from four to seven years for the root system to be back to 100 percent efficiency, depending on the type of tree, climate, soil and moisture. A ten-inch tree could take as long as 15 years to replace its entire root system. The growth of the root system and new upper tree growth is dramatically reduced post transplant. You may however notice a lot of new twigs the first year after transplanting. This is because the buds were formed prior to the tree being removed from its original location. Following the first year, the amount of new upper tree growth will be directly related to the growth of the root system. This provides a visual indication of how root growth is proceeding – few new buds, little root growth. Planting Techniques and On-Going Care: The tree you choose and the location you are going to place it must be a match. Picking the wrong tree for the sites soil conditions will mean that the root system may never fully regenerate itself. If you choose the right tree for the location and provide the proper care, there is no reason to believe that the tree will not survive and grow. Tree type, soil conditions, and care will definitely reduce the likely hood of death due to insect attack and disease. Planting: Carefully consider the size of the hole needed for the tree you are about to plant. Most individual have a tendency to dig a hole that is correct in depth but incorrect in width. The width of the hole should be a minimum of three times the diameter of the root ball. If you are planting in an area that is always wet, the tree can be planted so that a third of the root ball is above the final grade. By doing this the majority of the root system will remain above soil that is water saturated. Use the soil removed from the hole to fill in the area around the root ball. If you are adding an organic soil additive then the area that this new mixture fills should be large enough for a 3 to 5 year root growth. Watering: Watering seems to be the area that confuses the vast majority of individuals. There appears to be many different theories on the amount of water needed and how often to apply that water. This could be because depending on where you live soil and the associated climate will make a dramatic difference to the amount of watering needed. Soil moisture is critical to your new trees survival, to little and it will die of drought, to much and you will saturate the soil, removing the space required for oxygen. The consensus of opinion is that a transplanted tree needs one-inch of water a week for the first year. It is best to check with your local nursery for exact recommendations for your area. Mulching: Three to four inches of wood or bark chips placed over the area that has been excavated for the tree will maintain the moisture in the soil and control soil temperature swings. Mulch will also inhibit the growth of weeds and grass, both of which compete for the moisture and nutrients in the soil. It is not recommended that you replace any sod that was removed to dig the hole nor is it wise to plant flowers at the tree base during the first year. Why Most Railroad Job Applicants Don’t Get Hired

By Sean Martin Why is it that so many people go to railroad job interviews and dont get hired? Its easy to get carried away and just go to an interview thinking your going to ace it. However the cold hard reality is it takes proper preparation and the right answers to the interviewers questions. Sometimes you will be interviewed by a female and sometimes a male. It makes a big difference to your answers as to who is asking them. Many times you will be interviewed by both. Just because youre interviewing for a blue collar job does not mean you want to show up with a baseball cap on and a five oclock shadow on your face. You still need to dress respectful and clean cut. Another mistake I see potential candidates make is not being prepared. If the railroad sends you a letter or email and asks you to bring certain items to the interview with you then make sure you bring exactly what they ask for. I remember in my interview process two guys showed up without a copy of their application. The email they received from the railroad company said to bring a copy of your application. They did not. They were simply told to leave. No application No job interview If you cant follow simple instructions then they are not going to waste their time interviewing you. The next thing is your application. Your application needs to be completely filled out in detail. The railroad does not want to have to ask you questions to finish filling it out. If they ask for exact dates then get on the phone and start making phone calls to previous employers, references, etc Do what you need to do in order to get all the correct information they are seeking. OK, so now youre dressed appropriately, your application is filled out completely and properly, and you have brought everything to the interview process the railroad company asked you for Now what? The interview! Do you know what kinds of questions the railroad will be asking you? How about these three to name a few: Why should XYZ Railroad hire you? Why do you want to work for XYZ Railroad? Have you worked shift work before? Being prepared is the key to getting hired. The better prepared you are then the better your chances of getting hired. Patio Furniture For Your Outdoor Room

By Keith George Patio furniture refers to furniture for the purpose of utilization in patios. Patio furniture is sometimes referred to as garden furniture. A wide variety of patio furniture of different material, shape, size and color is available in the market today. However two factors differentiate between ordinary furniture and patio furniture namely durability and weather resistance. Plastic or corrosion treated metal furniture should be used for open patios. Plastic and corrosion treated metal are resistant to inclement weather conditions like sunshine, snow, rain etc. Plastic has advantage cost wise also. Most plastic chairs can be stacked. Rattan or wicker furniture is mainly used in covered patios. They are durable and resistant to inclement weather. When the wicker furniture starts to fade a fresh coat of paint will make it look new. Wooden patio furniture is more durable than wicker and should be used for covered patios. Tubular metal patio furniture is also popular but costs more. However they are durable and the chairs are usually cushioned. The tables are provided an umbrella in the centre for providing shade. Tables with glass tops are also quite popular. Steel or wrought iron patio furniture is the most common and the most expensive. However they give a Victorian look to the garden and are the most durable. They need to be painted regularly to prevent rusting of the furniture. Hammocks are a must in patio furniture. They are available in a wide variety of color and material. There are two types, rope hammocks and cloth hammocks. Rope hammocks can hold up to 200 kilograms. They need to be purchased with a strong wood stand. As patio furniture tends to be in the open and seen by many people, it is better to invest in pricey furniture. Patio furniture is available in matching sets. It is better to buy a set at once rather than buying individually for aesthetics and as buying individually may be costlier than buying a set. When buying patio furniture, it is prudent to do enquiry at multiple places as the prices vary widely for similar kinds of furniture. The internet is a good place for enquiry and purchase. Ensure that the furniture shown on the web page is the one being sold before you pay through your credit card. Maintenance of patio furniture is required as in any other furniture. Occasional painting and wood treatment go a long way in increasing the life of the furniture and keeping them looking like new. Keith George always writes about valuable news & reviews. Eating On The Run For Weight Loss

By Kris Bierek “I’m too busy!” “I’m always on the run.” “I never leave my desk during the day.” Sound familiar? These are the most common excuses I hear for why people don’t eat a healthy, balanced diet. Too many people resort to fast food and junk because they don’t think they have any other options. But with a little planning and preparation time, it is possible to eat well and maintain a busy lifestyle. If you will spend one to two hours one day a week preparing for the week ahead, it really is quite easy. At the grocery store stock up on healthy snack options such as yogurt, cottage cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables, and nuts. Spend a little time putting these snack foods into individual servings. Grill several chicken breasts or other lean meats to use in salads and sandwiches for the week. Cut up your vegetables so they are ready to go for salads. If all of the prep work is done, it takes no time in the morning to throw together a salad or wrap for lunch. Invest in some disposable food containers, plastic spoons and forks, and disposable cups. If you tend to eat breakfast on the run, or skip breakfast altogether, you can make some oatmeal, put it in a disposable cup, and take it with you. I carry an insulated cooler in my car all the time. If I am going to be out all day working, I pack it in the morning with all of the food I need for the day. I also keep a protein bar everywhere – my gym bag, my car, just in case I find myself out longer than I expected and get hungry. If you do find yourself without any options other than fast food, at least try to make the best choices. Here’s a hint – skip the fries and order a side salad with low-fat dressing instead! You can find nutrition information on many fast food chains here: http://www.shapefit.com/fastfood.html Make sure to educate yourself so that you can make the right choices. It will take a little effort to prepare some healthy foods for your busy weekdays, but you will be amazed at how easy it really is, and at how much better you will feel! Here is a recipe for my favorite To-Go lunch: Grilled Chicken and Black Bean Salsa Wraps Sprinkle 1 chicken breast with chile powder and grill until done. Slice and serve in a whole wheat tortilla with Black Bean Salsa: 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 tomato, chopped yellow bell pepper, chopped 2 green onions, chopped cup fresh cilantro 2 T. nonfat plain yogurt 1 tsp. Lime juice tsp. Ground cumin 1 tsp. Chile powder Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate.
